PLA chief of general staff stresses on cultivating high-quality military personnel

BEIJING, May 30, (ChinaMil) --The concentrated training course on standardized management of military academies was held from May 28 to 29, 2013 at the Nanjing Army Command College of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA).

Fang Fenghui, member of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and chief of general staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), stressed that it is imperative to strive to cultivate new-type and high-quality military personnel when he addressed the concentrated training course.

Fang Fenghui said that to achieve the goal of building a strong military, talent is the key and education is the basis.

Fang Fenghui pointed out that the talents cultivated by military academies are to prepare for war, command battle and fight battle, and therefore, it is essential to cultivate talents in line with actual combats, battlefields and combat requirements.

Chen Yong, assistant to chief of general staff of the PLA, and 190-odd leaders from leading organs of the PLA four general headquarters/departments, related major organizations and academies of the PLA and the Chinese People's Armed Police Force (APF) participated in the concentrated training course.
