Chinese and Bangladeshi air forces vow to strengthen cooperation

BEIJING, September 3 (ChinaMil) -- The Chinese Air Force attaches importance to developing its relations with the Bangladesh Air Force, said Ma Xiaotian, commander of the Air Force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLAAF), yesterday afternoon.

General Ma Xiaotian, who is also member of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks when meeting with Lieut. Gen. Muhammad Enamul Bari ndu, psc, the visiting chief of staff of the Bangladesh Air Force, in the Headquarters of the PLAAF in Beijing.

Ma Xiaotian said that China and Bangladesh share profound traditional friendship and in recent years the two countries have witnessed close high-level contacts, constantly enhanced mutual political trust and remarkable results of exchanges and cooperation in various fields.

The PLAAF commander expressed his satisfaction with the healthy and smooth development of relations between the Chinese and Bangladeshi militaries, as evidenced by frequent high-level reciprocal visits, and wide-range and multi-level friendly cooperation in such fields as personnel training and exchanges among military academies.

The PLAAF hopes to further promote and strengthen bilateral friendly cooperation in such fields as personnel training as well as exchanges among academies, so as to jointly push forward the relations between the two air forces to a new high, Ma said during the meeting.

Enamul expressed that the Bangladesh is willing to carry out exchanges and cooperation in various fields with China and hopes to make joint efforts with the Chinese side to constantly push forward the friendly and cooperative relations between the two air forces.
