Yesterday, a netizen posted a message on a local online forum for Lishui city in east China's Jiangsu province, claiming that a villager from the area's Houpu village had craned an Audi A8 to the top of her five-story building because of the lack of parking space, youth.cn reported on September 25.

The message shocked many netizens.

However, the owner of the building confirmed that the car actually belonged to her son-in-law, and that she had parked the car on top of her building to push him to repay his debts to her.

"He (my son-in-law) owes us hundreds of thousands of yuan, but he is unwilling to repay the debt. We had no option but to detain his Audi car", said the building owner.

She said she would return the car as long as her son-in-law repaid his debts.
