Former Polish diplomat expects PD Online to have greater int'l influence

People's Daily Online, especially its English edition, is totally a success for it has made the voices of the Communist Party of China heard throughout the world, said Sylwester Szafarz, former consul-general at Polish Consulate General in Shanghai and also an expert in international affairs, as he paid a visit to People's Daily Online on Tuesday.

'Before the establishment of People's Daily Online English Edition, I had people translate the articles including editorials of People's Daily to know about the latest news and thoughts of the Communist Party of China,' said Sylwester Szafarz as he talks with Shan Chengbiao, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of People’s Daily Online, 'People's Daily has an irreplaceable role in China and People's Daily Online has provided an easy access to the newspaper. The electronic one is accepted by more young people in my country.'

Finally, Sylwester Szafarz hoped that People's Daily would have greater presence in central Europe and the voices of the Communist Party of China can be broadcasted further.
