BEIJING, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- The ruling parties of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Vietnam, Laos and Cuba have congratulated China on the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) which opened Thursday in Beijing.
The Workers' Party of Korea's (WPK) Central Committee of the DPRK said in a congratulatory message that the Chinese people have made great achievements in building a socialist harmonious society, completing national unification and safeguarding world peace under the leadership of General Secretary Hu Jintao and with the theoretical guidance of the Deng Xiaoping Theory, the important thought of Three Represents and the Scientific Outlook on Development, in the 10 years after the 16th CPC National Congress.
The WPK believed the ongoing CPC congress would serve as a new opportunity for improving party-building and achieving the great revival of the Chinese nation, the message said.
Meanwhile, the message said the WPK would unwaveringly defend and strengthen its traditional friendship with China, which was established and nurtured by leaders of the older generation of both countries.
Referring to the China-DPRK friendship as a treasure to both peoples, WPK pledged to coordinate efforts with China to raise the bilateral ties to a new and higher level.
The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) said in a congratulatory message that it believed that significant decisions made during the CPC congress would boost China's cause of building socialism with Chinese characteristics and lay a solid foundation for achieving the goal of building a well-off society in an all-round way by 2020.
Stressing that the CPV has forged close ties with the CPC since establishment, the message said the CPV and the Vietnamese people have always attached great importance to developing ties with the CPC, the Chinese government and its people.
